A Booklover's Summer 2018

Why let the kids have all the fun? Summer reading is not just for kids; get the whole family involved.  This summer, Ascension Parish Library is introducing Beanstack, a new online software to help record and manage its summer reading programs at the library.  Paper entry forms will still be available at all library locations.  Join the adult summer reading program … Booklover’s Summer.

 Contest Rules:

•    Beginning May 24, sign up online at

• or stop by your local Ascension Parish Library for a Booklover’s Summer entry form.

•    Read or listen to three books between May 24 and July 31, 2018.

•    Record the title and author of each book or audiobook online or on a Booklover’s Summer entry form.  

•    After you read or listen to three books, stop by any library location to receive a completion prize – an Ascension Parish Library tote bag.  One tote bag per reader, while supplies last.  Your name will also be entered into the Grand Prize drawing for a chance to win the Flavors of New Orleans Grand Prize featuring the Best Choice set of three Cast Iron Cookware including casserole/Dutch oven, gratin, and griddle pan.  This oven to table cookware, crafted of porcelain enamel cast iron, will be a kitchen staple providing outstanding heat retention and distribution.  This prize also includes a copy of the book, Kevin Belton’s Big Flavors of New Orleans by Kevin Belton and Rhonda Findley, and a sampling of some of New Orleans’ best flavors.  One grand prize at each library location on August 3.

•    Each time you record three more books or audiobooks, your name will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing for another chance to win the grand prize.
