COVID-19 Response

Dear Ascension Parish Library Community:  
Ascension Parish Library is now closed to the public until further notice.
CURBSIDE PICK-UP will remain in effect during regular library hours of operation:
GONZALES   
Monday—Thursday               8:30 AM—8:00 PM
Friday & Saturday                  8:30 AM—5:30 PM
Sunday                                   2:00 PM—6:00 PM
DONALDSONVILLE | DUTCHTOWN | GALVEZ
Monday, Wednesday, Friday    8:30 AM—5:30 PM
Tuesday & Thursday                8:30 AM—8:00 PM
Saturday                                   8:30 AM—12:30 PM
Sunday                                     CLOSED
CURBSIDE PICKUP will continue, as a new service of the library.
• Library items can be requested through the hold system in the library card catalog or by phone.
• Library staff will call you to let you know when your items are ready at your pickup location.
• Call your pickup location when you arrive.
• Library staff will place your materials outside the front door.
• You will then be allowed to approach and pick up your items.
BOOK DROPS will remain open.
At this time, late fees will not be charged.
Returned items will be quarantined for three days. As holds become available, you will be notified.
We will NOT be accepting any donations until further notice.
We will be offering TECHNOLOGY ROOM access (including computers and printing) and REFERENCE HELP for one (1) hour appointments only. You must call the library to reserve a specific time.
FUNDING RENEWAL ELECTION COMMUNITY MEETINGS will continue on the following dates:     
July 15        6:00 PM        Gonzales     
July 16        6:00 PM        Galvez     
July 21        6:00 PM        Donaldsonville     
July 23        6:00 PM        Dutchtown
However, you must call the library upon arrival to gain access to the building.
WEARING A MASK IS REQUIRED INSIDE THE LIBRARY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A MASK, ONE WILL BE PROVIDED TO YOU.   
For the health and safety of both our staff and patrons, we will be following the state’s recommended guidelines for occupancy and social distancing, as well as the parish’s practice of requiring masks be worn in all public buildings. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. We look forward to welcoming you back into the library.
