He was founder of Daigle Pontiac-Buick-GMC, Co. in 1955. Major General Daigle served as the Adjutant General of the Louisiana National Guard, 1972-1980. A charter board member and president of the First National Bank he also served as chairman of the funding drive to build St. Theresa of Avila Catholic School, opened in 1959. He was inducted into LSU Ole War School Hall of Fame, National Guard Hall of Fame, Hall of Distinction of the Ascension Catholic School in Donaldsonville, and Hall of Fame at Ft. Benning, GA. He is listed in Who’s Who, American and World edition.
