Let your preschoolers explore the wonder of “Why.” Sorting, matching, and choosing what does not belong will entertain and delight your preschoolers while sparking their imaginations. We invite you to accompany your preschoolers while they start developing pre-STEM science skills with entertaining hands-on activities and stories. Our future scientists need to arrive at the Ascension Parish Library in Dutchtown on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM to participate in the Mother Goose Asks “Why?” program.
This program is designed for preschoolers ages 3 to 5. Please register by calling the Ascension Parish Library at Dutchtown at 673-8699. Space is limited so be sure to register as early as possible.
Are advanced directives on your bucket list this new year? Advanced directives allow you to make your wishes known about what type of medical care you want to receive should you become terminally ill or permanently unconscious. Ascension Parish Library and Our Lady of the Lake Ascension have joined together to offer Are Advanced Directives on your Bucket List on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Ascension Parish Library in Gonzales. Presenter, Christy Lawrence, MSW, LCSW, will discuss what advanced directives are, why you need them, and how to go about completing them. These include living wills, health care power of attorney, and more.
Let’s check these items off your bucket list and spare those close to you the anxiety of having to guess your wishes. Thinking ahead and communicating medical preferences early on, will give your loved ones peace of mind.
To register, call Our Lady of the Lake Ascension Community Education at (225) 621-2906.
