Put on your favorite cardigan and enter the Neighborhood of Make Believe as we celebrate Mr. Rogers and Daniel Tiger at our Make and Take: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood program. You’ll get to make a Daniel Tiger or Katarina Kittycat mask, an O or X the Owl paper bag puppet, and a King Friday XIII or Queen Sara Saturday crown. All crafts are super simple and easy to make, and you can take them all home for fun, imaginative play. We’ll also have a coloring station set up and, of course, puppets to play with.
Our Make and Take: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood program will take place on Saturday, November 9 at our Donaldsonville and Dutchtown locations, and on Saturday, November 16 at our Gonzales and Galvez locations. This program is designed for children ages six and younger, but is open to all ages. Crafts will be available to make and take from 9:00 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.; simply stop by at the time that is most convenient for you. For more information on this program, please contact Ascension Parish Library in Donaldsonville at 473-8052, in Gonzales at 647-3955, in Galvez at 622-3339, or in Dutchtown at 673-8699.
Whether you are a first time builder or a master at Lego construction, you are sure to have a fun time putting the pieces together at Ascension Parish Library’s Lego Club. Build whatever you can imagine on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:30 AM in Dutchtown. We provide the Legos, but materials and creations must stay at the library, so you might want to bring a camera to capture the moment!
Lego Club is open to children of all ages. Duplo Blocks and Mega Bloks will be available for younger children. Please remember to leave your own Legos at home. We don’t want you to lose your favorite pieces! For more information on this program, contact the Ascension Parish Library in Dutchtown at 673-8699.
